From the house you have a view of the Lepelaarsplassen, the marina and the Markermeer. Besides the marina, the Oostvaardersdiep is also the "home port" of the former visitors' center "De Trekvogel. Plans are ready to build a new sustainable visitor building with a small catering facility here soon.
Stores, a health center, pharmacy, elementary school, a high school and sports fields are accessible at about 5.5 km by car (10 min) and about 4 km by bike (15 min).
