Location and history
Ideal for people who love peace, nature and a vacation feeling, but still want to be in the Randstad within 30 minutes. Under architecture of Edward van der Drift, the houses were built in 1996 to replace the former service houses of the pumping station Blocq van Kuffeler and the Zuidersluis.
From the house you have a view of the Lepelaarsplassen, the marina and the Markermeer. Besides the marina, the Oostvaardersdiep is also the "home port" of the former visitors' center "De Trekvogel. Plans are ready to build a new sustainable visitor building with a small catering facility here soon.
Stores, a health center, pharmacy, elementary school, a high school and sports fields are accessible at about 5.5 km by car (10 min) and about 4 km by bike (15 min). Almere City and Almere Buiten are approximately 20 minutes by bike. Heart of Amsterdam can be reached by car within 40 minutes and Lelystad in 18 minutes.
Layout:
Entrance hall with meter cupboard and access to toilet with hand basin. From the hall you reach a bedroom/study, bathroom with bathtub, living room and stairs to the first floor. The open kitchen with cooking island is equipped with a 4-burner gas hob, oven, refrigerator and dishwasher. Then there is a utility room with washer and dryer. The storage room is accessible from the kitchen and gives access to the basement, once built as a nuclear cellar, but now serves perfectly as a storage room or wine cellar.
Second floor:
Through the fixed staircase you reach the landing with access to two spacious bedrooms with high ceilings and windows, offering views of the Markermeer and the Lepelaarsplassen. Provisions have already been made to realize a bathroom and toilet on the floor. From the rear bedroom you can access a spacious terrace overlooking the Markermeer and the marina.
Garden:
Sunny spacious front garden facing south-east, laid out in 2021. Very suitable as a vegetable and flower garden. Adjacent is a large lawn with bocce court for joint use. The backyard has a spacious terrace and a lovely lawn with borders, which slopes down to the lake. Two parking spaces have also been created here with a hedge that keeps cars out of sight.

From the resident
It is with a little pain in my heart that I say goodbye to my house, which I moved into 25 years ago as the first resident.
